Please welcome a new family to the lab. I have yet to name them but here they are...
We now have a mom and two babies. I found them in Atlanta while here for some medical tests. Aren't they cute? Now the hard part will be to wrestle them away from my husband and son to get them to school. We will have a unique opportunity to tame them because the two babies are so little. The mother who is brown is already very sweet and tame. My husband has claimed her for himself. Now we have to name them. Any suggestions?

How about Aussie, Didgeridoo, and Billabong? Chinchillas are from Australia, aren't they? Well, you know what Aussie is, of course, Didgeridoos are aboriginal instruments, and billabong is an Aussie term for creek or something like that. Just thought they were cute names, and a bit educational, too!
Rachel has always been good with naming pets - she has the most creative names. The best I could come up with is: Chin-chineree, Chin-ups and Chindinerella LOL hahahaha
